I have over 10 years of experience as a developmental editor for fiction and non-fiction writers in many genres. Most of my clients are loyal and ongoing. My focus is on skilled editing in the context of a creative approach to the writing process. Meet with me to discover the appropriate mix of emotional support, accountability, and editorial feedback to strengthen your writing voice and bring your work to completion.
Sometimes, problems on the page have roots in the past. Outdated messages from childhood, harsh inner voices, and the uncertainties of the creative process itself can slow us down. Working with these “gremlins” in a non-judgmental way frees us to discover the muse. My flexible, experimental approach in an atmosphere of mutual trust allows clients to trust themselves
I work with writers at all stages of experience and with projects from the napkin-scrawl beginning stages to publication. I have an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts, and I am currently in training as a therapist at the Gestalt Therapy Institute of Philadelphia.
